Very neat images of your Sam. He seems harmless enough, although a nuisance! I believe I'd trim his spurs, too, if it was me. I wish I had a male like Sam to add excitement to the yard.
By the way, young males are referred to as 'cockerels.' Once they reach a full year, they are called 'cocks'. THe only other terms that I know of that applies is 'juveniles'.
