Dang.... Chick sell out!

Ya, our local feed store sold out all their chicks before they even arrived. Thankfully, I had mine reserved.

I called Friday morning and by the time I got there, there was only 6 bantams left. Only 2 of them have made it until today. They were all so small even for bantams.

I'm calling on a daily basis looking for more

Yeah I was there today to get chick food and they were all out. A friend of mine works there and she told me the store here will be getting more chicks every Monday till Easter. So I guess I'll have to stay away alot longer than thought. I have 24 eggs in the bator due to hatch this weekend lol. I don't need any more chicks.

Punt! Oh I freaking love that! We swore off ever getting another cat, but I know my wife, so I am sure it will happen again... if so, I know it's name!

I NEED MORE CHICKS! Ours sold out fast also. There were only 8 chicks (buff orps) pullets. I talked the lady into selling me 2, leaving 6 for some one else to buy. HaHa! Money is tight for us this year. My SIL hatched out some red sex links ( I bought the eggs at the auction) He added some of their eggs to fill the bator. So this is what I have in the way of chicks this year so far:

Nuggets-- I bought SR at an auction -- 11 barred rocks -- looks like 9 pullets and 2 roos. 1 black aust, roo. 1 mix, roo. They are 8 weeks old. Was that lucky or what?

Chicklets-- I got 5 red sex link pullets and 1 Roo (I think). 1 black aust, 1 barred rock and the 2 buff orp. pullets I got from TSC.

We both have Ecclectic flocks....So this next bator full will be interesting, all crosses with a few pure bred Salmon favs. We're having fun though!
