Dang hawk!!!!!!!!

Almost lost one of my rollers today!!! There is am watching a aerial show when this huge red hawk comes out of thin air!! Almost takes my slower pigeon then vanishes...
This is the 3rd time I see a hawk when I let my pigeons out. This time it was too close!!!
Talk about feeling helpless......

I have been having hawk problems as well lost a few young homers matter of fact. Been having better luck releasing them after supper.

Keep you birds in for a week or so... so the hawk goes elsewhere to look for food.

When you start to release them again, let them out at different times each day.. so the hawk does not get to know what time potential dinner is put out.

just a reminder you break federal laws if you kill birds of prey call game warden he may be able to help

I didn't say to kill it, but yeah illegal and trackers are placed in hawks now.. So you gotta take to river immediately if you shoot one etc. BOPs are not endangered at all anymore but still protected under Federal law in usa. Pigeons actually are as well, especially homing pigeons and banded ones, by several presidents of past, but no one upholds those laws.
