Awww, I'm sorry you had to re-home him. I re-homed two a couple of weeks ago. They weren't crowing too much. They were doing that other thing roosters do, too much.

LOL! I actually walked in on my Australorp laying an egg today! That kind of took away from the fact my araucanas are still pre-pubescent children who don't know what eggs are yet.

She just stared at me, ruffled her feathers and walked out with an egg stuck to her butt fluff! (Thats why she's called Bo bo)

LOL Magic. I'm currently dealing with a hen that's been wearing a saddle for a week yet still insists on walking backwards everywhere, trying to walk out from under it.

I have to go out every hour to make sure she is eating and drinking and not just being obsessed with getting the saddle off.

With the 100* F temps. outside it's one of those days I would gladly trade you a boatload of chickens for a pair of your pigeons.

It's "Australia-Cold" here, which essentially means about 57F (used Google) here and we're all wearing about 5 layers of clothes and my fingers are so frosted together i'm using auto-correct to type

oh, and the sun is little more than a visual effect of heat.
Haha i'll gladly take your boatload of chickens though. they are so pretty

I just trimmed all the pigeons nails today. They have been cooped up for a while and i didn't notice how long they got! seems all the birds just start running when they see me now, at least yours don't do that

Yep, haven't had rain since the end of May. Saw a dust storm outside today, turns out it was just two of my hens dustbathing. No lie. It's turning into a desert here.

) and all I can see right now are planning proposals to build a five storey apartment directly overlooking my "illegal" chicken coops by the new owner.
