Hello all! I'm having a problem at the moment when Ravens (5-15) fly down and eat all my chicken feed its a huge pain as I cannot afford much, I've tried putting it away at night and giving it to them in the morning but soon as the chickens finish the Ravens fly down and eat it. I cannot cover the area over because of the the size of the run. So I have decided to feed them a restricted amount in the morning and in the afternoon, could anyone tell me how much to feed them? They are full sized (not bantams) rhode rock hybrids and the rest Rhode Island reds! Could someone tell me how much for one bird and I will do the rest. Sorry for the bad wording and punctuation I'm in a hurry! Thanks a lot everyone!!!! Jeff

You'll have to determine yourself how much your chickens eat. Give them a scoop (assuming 3 quart scooper) and stay to watch how long it takes them to consume it. If they consume all of it, give them another scoop. If they consume all of that, give them another scoop. Do that until they are no longer interested in the food, and then you'll know how much they can eat in a sitting, and you can just give them that much each time.
