Last week one of the chicks was paralyzed in the run pecked half to death on her head. She's recovered and kicking just fine now.
I leave town for THREE days. Today my chicken baby sitter tells me that Feisty has a hole in her back. Best I can tell it's a mating injury that caused the flock to peck her. It's clear down to her backbone.
She survived being scalped (hence the name Feisty), and I think she'll kick this, but I don't know where I'm going to put her once she heals!
