Ok, all this talk about land predators has encouraged us to think of hardening our run for that too. We don't have fox, but we do have raccoons. Our dog is keen on chasing them away all hours of the day and night, but you never know. So we just bought the supplies to put up electric fencing around our coop. Maybe that would help out with your geese. Just a thought.

@Gray Farms sorry for your loss. Hopefully you can find a solution that will prevent any further loss. Once mine are big enough they will have an acre to mow but right now are only out when we are. It’s fox and coyote proof but not hawks or eagles and we have plenty of those and if they were determined could probably kill a 3 week old gosling.

Research shows that hunting predators actually increases predation rates. So a lot of people "taking care of" their "predator problem" are actually just shooting themselves in the foot.
