Please beware of buying chemically treated sod for your yard or hen house. Less than 2 weeks ago we laid some sod in the run after it flooded from a recent storm and we wanted to raise the level. Within a week 2 were dead. They were fine one day and a bit listless the next day. I held them as they both had seizures in my arms and died. I hate to think i contributed to the death of one of my favorite pets. I later found out most sod is treated with pesticides for various types of bugs. Please be careful.
