Dangerous lightening

Had 2 days of it. I was more worried about my birds have night fright and killing themselves.

back years ago. we had a trailer and the well was near the trailer and that got struck so we had no water and had to have the pump replaced and the phones kept ringing and well yeah you know if your really near being struck its a loud boom and very whitish blue flash of light. At least for us thats what i remember happening.

When we lived in KY a very bad storm sat over our house for over an hour, lightning struck a bug zapper we had on our front porch and arced up and down the length of the porch...brilliant blinding blue light. Very scary.

I didn't know they were removable.

I love storms. I usually sit outside and watch.

A lightening struck our septic pump during last week storm, blew a hole, and all the bolts out. The pump is SOLID metal, and very very heavy.

We can use the water, but can't let the water down the drain. Now my parents, and siblings are at the hotel, until the pump is replaced, while I am staying at home to keep an eye on things, and care for my livestock.

Hotel? Our sewage pump died last week. I said a few expletives, drove to the local plumbing supply, paid an arm and a leg for a new pump, came home and installed it.

The insurance is paying for the whole bill.

We had to pump the tanks out, then use our loader to hoist the pump out. My dad got a new pump today. Not sure when we will install it, today or tomorrow. My dad owns a Discount Appliances store, he works many hours, very little time to do anything else. I have carpal tunnel on both wrist, so I can't do much.
