Danggit Dog!!

I have a vet appt for friday. I told them that he was peeing on the couch for no reason I could think of so I wanted to see about urinary tract as suggested...

I do beleive dogs can be spiteful... like cats... cats can be very spiteful! LOL. Sometimes its funny... Well anyway, I don't think its that, spite I mean. He's just the sweetest easiest most loveable guy... SO, I hope that its an infection, well not really, but you know what I mean, I hope he's just not being an a-hole of a dog, but there is a legitimate reason... I don't want him to be ill. He's my little guy.

As for discipline... He's smart. He know's he did naughty, and will get all submissive a bit, when I see the pee... SO he know's he did it, but I usually just yell at him and make him get off the couch... clean it... wait a bit and then spray it with the neutralizer. Last night I got crib mattress covers, and put them on the cushions, cuz its a perfect fit, and then covered those with blanket, so we can sit on it in comfort, but no pee will get on my couch anymore...

I hope its not an infection. I'd feel really bad if it is, cuz this has been going on for about a month...

I hope its not a UTI also -- if he's had one for a MONTH that would mean he'd be VERY sick by now. It would most likely be in the kidneys and you'd see signs of sickness: fever, lethargy, trouble urinating, painful urination/straining, bloody urine and a gawd-awful smell to the urine. Its not very common for a male dog to get a UTI. My Mom bought a schauzer puppy, male. Within 24 hours of him arriving he was peeing blood and was very very sick. Antibiotics cleared him right up and he was fine after that.

no, he is not doing any of that. He's very very active. Eats like crazy, rough houses with Ruby, plays with the kids... He's not hot, his eyes are clear, he's not whining when he goes potty, or nothing. He's on a LID food program, no wheat, corn, soy, whey... Hes a Boston terrier, and gets irratated tummy and has atomic gas if he eats any of that stuff.... I have a feeling he's marking...
