One of the frizzle hens we got from you a while back went broody about 3 weeks ago, she was hording eggs like crazy... I got the wife home tonight and she called me to the coop saying she heard cheeping, sure enough we got babies. It's the hen Lucie and it was our rooster Greyman (a mottled gray bantam cochin).

They're cute little guys - Lucie was such a nasty mom almost hissing at us any time we'd check in on her...

The wife saw 3 so far, but Lucie has them back under her. We're gonna wait until all the hatching is done then move her over into The Nursery (the upstairs of this coop).

Lucie, being the space cadet she is gave up on the other eggs. She took her 3 babies outside for some fresh air. I took the other eggs and got her nursery all setup: 4 x 4 ft of pine shaving filled comfort: food, water, cable tv too... (well, not yet). The babies are adorable and she's happily clucking her heart out to them...
