hey, by the way was I supposed to be doing eggs or chicks for those that you wanted? Bout ready to work on them, just couldnt remember what we had talked about

Aubrey, I'll know this coming week if he's candled them or not. I'm curious, too! I'm spending my time researching everything I can

about baby chick raising. Really, I just want a new best friend to spoil, pamper, and give a great life to. Looking at pictures of other people's D'anvers

is just making me more excited. Two more weeks... two more weeks...

Yes, they DO have great personalities. I have 6 D'anvers and 8 LF chicks in a brooder and the D'Anver's and Barred Rocks are SO, super friendly. Whenever I open the cage door, they fly onto my hands and arms. They love to be picked up and held in my hand. The D'Anvers even fall asleep in my hand when I turn them upside down and rub their necks.........they are really fun.

Cali Chick, that is so neat to hear! Very good PR for the breed to be so friendly. Especially surprising in tiny new chicks, too. Wonderful to hear this.
