d'anver lovers, discuss the breed and post some pics!

JJ, in the top photo where you show a crele girl, are those milles to the left and right? Or some sort of pretty mottled color variety? Gorgeous,

They are millie colored, but they are d'anver x Pyncheon crosses that I am using to for a Watermaal project. Haven't hatched any millies yet, I don't like my rooster and am waiting to use the one I have in the goldneck pen.

Wow JJ, some of them have inherited both the crest and the beard! Thanks for sharing these. They look so easy to fall in love with, and with a personality that can't be beat.

My hatch is over and I have 5 Darling chicks

Sadly only one of the buff Columbian eggs hatched. The other 3 eggs had fully formed chicks but died just before hatching

The 5 that did hatch are super cute and healthy, and love to be held

Aubrey~ I am assuming the Dun Cuckoo can be sexed by color? Both of these chicks are roosters by the yellow head spot?

From left to right~ Dun Cuckoo, Dun Cuckoo, Dun Quail, Dun Quail, Buff Columbian.
