Aimee has four new chicks today. The two D'Anvers hatched yesterday, one very furry legged (male, most likely) and a clean legged cutie. Today, there are two LF chicks, one pure BR and one that has BR, Delaware and Ameraucana (with some Sumatra in there, too) in its lineage but looks like a Delaware chick. Here are the D'Anvers yesterday-the lighter one has the feathered legs, both Aimee's chicks, I believe, but for sure, the Kentucky Leg Fungus infested one is hers, lol.

Maybe this is a dumb question but what is the difference between Dun and Black? And does anyone have pictures of Dun?
So cute! I miss having chicks. If it weren't for my SO I would probably already have way too many chickens lol.
I have breeding black, blue, and splash figured out, but what are the genetics of solid and quail? What happens when breeding the two patterns together?

Hey guys!! I was wanting to get started with some d'anvers, and I'm not sure where I could buy a couple, any ideas? I happened to see these lovely birds when I was at Ohio Nationals and instantly fell in love with them!!!

How many days does it take for d'Anvers eggs to hatch? I was contemplating joining the Easter hatch a long. The list says March 14th for 21 day eggs, March 16th for 19 day eggs. I was thinking of setting them the 15th to be on the safe side?
Either that or I might buy chicks from the place I got my d'Anvers and see if Sel will raise them for me. I want more colours lol.
