d'anver lovers,discuss the breed and post some pics!

For anyone who is interested I put out for sale some of my pullets ( Dun, White and Dun Quail) they will be paired with a rooster. What ever I'm not selling by Saturday I'm taking to the Winston-Salem show in NC. This are all from BBB.

definate boy, the white is starting to take over now and he has the looks of the colored wings now too, the hen wouldnt have those whiter wing markings. Here's some pics for the comparison for you.

See how the hens wings have no solid areas of white

yes, those are called platinum. Dun is on the dominate white gene, blue is in the black, so the two can both be expressed at the same time. The result is platinum, 1 copy blue 1 copy dun. Very pretty and most likely a next years project. With those you can get all colors, blue, black, dun, and platinum.

Headed up to north GA again tomorrow to pick up some new birds, very excited about it, all long tailed stuff, my other breeds I'm very passionate about. Still will be a good shot south of you though Cynthia!! Getting closer though.
