Business trip my foot, JJ is taking a trip looking for a Defensive expert to try to save his lil birdies from the Hairy Legged Horde. He is getting scared now.

Penny and Aimee are on Day 18 today with their 4 eggs apiece. When I lifted Aimee off her eggs to go on potty break this morning, there was ONE egg under her. Penny had SEVEN. Aimee must have pushed Penny off her nest and moved most of her eggs underneath, then decided that was not her nest and gone back to the one she left. I have not seen Penny steal any eggs, but Aimee takes every opportunity to steal Penny's. I put them all back.

Just a bit ago, I checked under Aimee again and she's stolen one of Penny's eggs yet again! ARGH! What a bad little egg thief she is! I bet she'll try to steal the chicks, too. Poor things will come out with scrambled brains from being rolled around so darn much!

Oh Lordy 1 lb of viciousness in each nest area Cyn...make them girls behave Penny looks like she is about to have a hackle explosion. LOL Cute girls I swear that Aimee is just too adorable.

Yeah, Aimee and Penny are the cutest broodies going, I swear. And guess what? My Phoenix, Molly, is broody now!

She sat on her egg all night, took a long break and went back. I gave her one of Nugget's, one of Maretta's and one of Carly's to add to the one of her own. We'll see how she does, but I ain't moving her from the milk crate in the coop.

Lord the silver quail here FINALLY laid a freakin egg, 3 actually ... yesterday. I've got SO many orders for them already I was begining to wonder if I'd be able to get to any of them. Finally got 1 from the buff columbians (Nanakat) today too, same deal with them....maybe spring finally made it here.
