Dare I hope... IT IS PEANUT! ( Link to Newspaper Article added)

Ahhhh what a day. I slept some and then brought the ducks their treats. Peas and watermelon today. Anyway... I couldn't stand to hear Peanut cry for her flock so I took a big chance and let her out of the quarantine pen and let her join them. (don't yell at me) I didn't know if they would pick on her (and I sure hope she didn't pick something up from the geese she was hanging with) but she joined the flock right along side her brood mate (sister) like always and it's like she never left. The only change is that she doesn't seems as shy now... seems much more sure of herself with the bigger ducks etc. I guess she figures after 300 Canadian Geese these guys are nothing.

Now I'm rootin' for Scooter. You can see by this miracle that anything can happen. Scooter will come home. I have faith. We'll be 3 for 3!!!!

This was such a great story! I agree that you should contact the media and have them do a story on her safe return. What a great human interest story

Other than her feathers are a little torn up and ruffly, nope. No noticeable wounds. I know it's been over 3 weeks, but you would think she has some talon marks somewhere, right? Maybe under all those feathers that are coming in? I dunno. I'm only glad she's home! She's in the duck house snuggled up to her sister now. Safe and warm.
