Oh absolutely. They haven't called back but I think a beautiful 10 runner egg pound cake, a dozen of my biggest eggs and thank you card all wrapped up in a pretty bow will do the trick.

I actually ended up making it 2, 12 eggers . My runners lay small blue eggs, about the size of a medium chicken egg. I got the recipe off the internet some years ago. It's so easy and my duck eggs have made it famous around here.

12 eggs
1lb butter
4 cups sugar
4 cups flour
1oz bottle lemon extract.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Grease and flour Bundt Cake pan.
Cream butter and sugar together.
Add one egg at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Add flour gradually.
Mix in lemon extract.
Pour mixture into bundt cake pan to about 1 & 1/2 inches from top.
Bake for one hour or until a toothpick stuck in the cake comes out clean.

Allow cake to cool
thoroughly.

It's a very dense and rich cake. But Its so easy that even I don't mess it up. And thats saying something.

Reading that made me cry again. I was so happy to hear she was home that I cried in happiness for you and Peanut- and now reading her story has just effected me so emotionally because it is such a miracle that she has returned home after such an ordeal.

And to be able to find out where she was for those weeks away. So lucky she had someone so caring to take care of her.
