I have a confession. I am beyond impatient when it comes to sexing chicks! We have a trio of Dark Brahma Bantams that hatched this chick earlier this summer (July 7th). I have been not-so-patiently waiting to see what sex the chick is. While I know that males and females have different feather patterns as adults, I don't know how soon that differentiation occurs. This chick is now 2 months old. All signs seem to be pointing to pullet, but I don't know if I'm jumping the gun. Can I call it? Is it too early to tell? Someone experience with Dark Brahmas want to weigh in?

These pictures were taken on September 1st (7 weeks of age):

This was taken less than 24 hours after hatching. It won't help tell the sex, but look how cute! And yes, little one is named after a Pokemon.

Thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!
