One roo and three hens, hatched March 2021. Two hens are laying. The roo is NOT aggressive, lovely boy, truly a gentle giant, he weighs just over 7 pounds at 5 months old. Does not crow a lot (relatively speaking
), and takes very good care of his ladies.
They are comfortable around dogs and cats.
They are all content to be handled. Very healthy.
We feed Mile Four grower pellets, some kitchen/garden scraps, and tiny amounts of scratch that I mix from whatever grains I have on hand at the time, usually corn, BOSS, oat groats, sesame seeds. They also free-range a few hours each day.
We live near International Falls in northern Minnesota. Would be happy to drive 100 miles or so if necessary to make it easier for them to find a new home!
