Hi! I'm currently hatching a duck egg for the second time and I can't tell what's going on in my egg. It's day 4 and there's a dark circular ring with a dark dot in the middle, is it the embryo and some veins or does it mean the egg is dead? Here's some pictures, sorry that they're kinda hard to see. Any help is appreciated!

Hi, welcome to BYC!
You did it right! You might want to take your age out of your post though, it's best not to share ages. It's alive! That's the blood island and the embryo. Be very careful not to touch it much, any sudden movements and it can detach the embryo, which will cause it to die.
It's looking good right now though!
