Dark Cornish x- Anyone have experience with these?

There's someone selling dark cornish x hens on Craigslist in my area. Anybody have experience raising this type of meat bird? I''m wintering a Freedom Ranger rooster and three FR hens. I thought I might add two or three Dark Cornish x hens to his harem and see what kind of chicks i get this spring. Any thoughts on if this might work? Is anybody else experimenting with breeding meat birds?
