dark cornish

hey guys, murray mcmurry sent me dark cornish instead of my easter eggers, boo. was wondering what the best age to harvest them is? also, do i need to feed them something different than my layers before hand? thanks

Dark Cornish are an actual breed, not the Cornish X meat bird that you may be thinking of. They will grow up to be layers, although not the greatest. I've heard that they do dress out nicely but probably not until around 18-22 weeks or so.

thanks, i actually looked up that specific breed and heard that they were a type of indian cornish used as a gormet meat bird? ill check out that link though, thank you.
