Dark RIR from Whelp Hatchery

I've decided that I don't have 4 RIRs now. I have 4 production reds that I got from McMurray.

You know, RIR are really a fantastic breed. I do not have the stardards, but show the bantam variety. I remarked in other posts about the egg color and how they show resemble bricks with the bottom corners broke off.

When I first started with the RIR bantams I had good type, but uneven color. I took a while, but the color and type is finally there. I can't say how much fun they are.

When I see a picture of a "rir" that is not the type nor the color I say they are production reds. Nothing wrong with that, but calling a PR a rir is like calling Jersey cattle as beef cattle.
