Darling Mary or is she?

This is Mary, a lovely cochin. We purchased 8 babies and two adults. The grownups are supposed to be girls. Agnes (an Ameraucana) has laid an egg, but Mary is crowing and behaving in rooster-like fashion. She makes clucking noises. Do roosters do that? I've heard of alpha hens and I know that hens do crow on occasion. What do you think?

Looks like a Mark to me...the "clucking" noises could be that he's found a treat and calling the hens.....

His name shall be Marvin (after my brother-in-law - my sister was the Mary!). I don't know about coloring. He's a really deep burgundy below and the ruff is rusty orange. Yes, I think he is handsome also. So, he's a roo, huh?
