Darn it, SHE crowed! (Video for newbies of cockerels first crow)

Well Big Momma went last night. I felt like I was bringing him to the dog pound and abandoning him. He has a new home, awaiting a new name and should be happy since he won't be ending up on some dinner table.

That's so nice that you were able to find a place to keep him!
I just wanted to say your video was adorable, and the best part was what you said at the end...made me laugh out loud!

Mine are 9 weeks old and still nothing. I know I have at least 8 or so males but the are open range all day so I wonder if thats why no one crows yet. I can't wait to start hearing the crows, the more crows I hear the more dinners they make ;) .

Awh. I know how it feels to get attached to a chick then it turns out to be a cockrel.

OH! I so relate to this - my very favourite became a he as well, I was so terribly upset but also lucky enough to find him a home, but goodness I miss him! its very quiet without him following me about everywhere and chatting away. His new home kept his name and he seems to be settling in ok.
Most disappointing isn't it!
