I was just on this forum looking around and I heard a thwack! Bump! Crash! I look out my window, and somebody just plowed into our parked car in front of our house! I looked out and saw that it was our car that got it and ran downstairs and out to the street and they were there for 1 sec. and then took off! I am so mad! Hit and Run! I called 911 to report it, cops came but everyone is so busy with Labor Day Weekend accidents ( with people injuries) I had to wait outside for awhile.

Thankfully an EMT guy was driving by and stopped to help a bit.

But still! Any info I got when I ran out was a NJ license plate and a W being the first character, I yelled, but they took off!! Double crap!

Well, it's been reported. We'll see what happens. I was getting ready to purchase a chicken when all this happened! Darn darn darn.

I know other people got worse things that could happen, but jeez....what a way to start a weekend.

I don't know if i feel any better, but at least I've let it out.

Have a safe weekend everybody!

Well that just sucks! I hope they catch the fool - probably some drunk or someone without a licence.....

Well, looks like the Labor Day weekend "fun" is starting early!

Sometimes I think the three-day weekend holidays are more trouble than they're worth... it just gives the idiots an exuse to go out and act like bigger idiots, and stuff like this happens.

So sorry this happened to you, Lunachick. I hope they can catch the guy who hit your car!!!

Thanks guys, upon closer inspection the car was hit so hard that it jumped the curb and is now resting half on the lawn and half on the street with car stuff everywhere! I hope they find the people too. Their car scraps were there too, and the cops took it with them. They can't hide forever.

okay, I will put my two cents in... I'm truely sorry for what happend to you!!! But I also know that it being a weekend you may think that the police wont have time to look for them... please believe me when I say... even though you did not get alot of information on that vehicle that hit your car... I am sure the info that you did provide will help in getting them... and I am sure they have a BOLO (be on look out) for that vehicle.... and its nice to know they have the parts... They are getting so much better with forensic science these days... have faith... and try to have a good weekend!!!

I hope they get those turds! We have really curvy roads and drunks ride up through yards and into and out of ditches and keep on going. Ever so often one gets caught when his truck won't pull him out -got a 4-wheel drive and doesn't know how to use it. If you want to drink into oblivion stay put!! Our house rule is -give me the keys & there's the couch! No excuse really. DumbAssMF's (sorry) but it's true!

I'm so sorry this happened. I hope the damage isn't so bad that you can't use your car. But be sure to get lots and lots of pictures of the damage and that it's in your yard, etc. They may come in handy later on.

I am so sorry about your loss. Hopefully, the cops will try and find the culprit. It is always important to have uninsured motorist insurance. That way, you can claim against your own insurer for your loss. For what it is worth, the Arizona courts have ruled that if your insurer did not offer this coverage to you and you did not refuse it, you have implied coverage. I am not sure if that is true in the state you live in.

A couple of years ago, a lady was cutting through our neighborhood to avoid a traffic light, eating a piece of toast and talking on a cell phone. She smacked into my son's truck and pushed up into my other son's truck. Luckily, she had insurance.

I felt bad about the accident, but after thinking about it, I was really happy neither of my kids were in the vehicles when they were hit. You can always get a new car, but you cannot bring someone back from the dead.

Very true, Rufus.
But it still sucks that someone's so darned careless.
I was hit in July, got the car wiped out and have to go to Physical Therapy, because the lady who hit me just pulled out without looking where she was going.
I was going to my Aunt's yesterday to take her computer. On the way down, there was a car in the ditch and another across the exit.
When we were leaving and going up Rte 3, an ambulance went by with the lights going and a medivac copter buzzed the road.
We made it up and back safely, but after I dropped her off and was going back, there was an accident at an intersection.
And when I got back on 3, just a few hundred yards away was another crash. A 4 car pile up that involved a Fossil Oil van that had a Taurus imbedded in it's side, a Mazda Miata from FL driven by a couple of young guys and a bit farther one was a Subaru wagon that's backend was pushed up almost all the way to the back wheels...
I'm gonna hide under my bed, methinks.
