My son could not come home.
He's in Japan, only one certified in what he is doing on the Island.

Thanks so much for your responses! We are planning a big homecoming dinner with everyone she asked me to invite plus a few more!! She doesn't know this but she will be receiving a proposal from her DBF while she is home. Although I know she is hoping he would ask, she definitely isn't expecting it while she's home on leave.

I was honored to share a line at the airport with a large contingent of soldiers coming home for 15 days from Iraq and Afghanistan. While they must have been tired and eager to get to their final destinations, they were unfailingly polite and pleasant to all the folks asking them questions, as well as the impatient passengers shoving through the terminal. Of course, we'd expect nothing less from our military men and women, raised by good folks like you!!
