Noah wasnt are if it was such a good idea for Julie to go alone, even if ginger was with her, but made no move to stop her.

They were gone for an hour or two before he got a bit worried.

Tyler paced worriedly.
 
"Don't worry... This always happens with Julie. Once, a few days ago, se left for firewood and didnt come back till two days later...." Noah said, though he was worried too. "That was the time when she found you. She had been gone for a few days...."

Another hour passed, and finally ginger and Julie walked back through the trees. The look on gingers face was worth a thousand words, but Julie's expression only said one. Horrified. Julie had one arm around gingers shoulder and walked with her over to the edge of the pond. They set down the stack of stick and sat down too without a word.

Noah frowned. Something had happened, but he knew he wouldn't be able to get it out if Julie, or, by the look on her face, ginger either.
