Michael smiled to himself.

Jackie fell asleep in that same position.

Michael stood up slowly.

Jackie dozed off. The spot she sat in reminded her of how her and her mom use to sit here and make garlands out of flowers.

He headed over to her.

She shifted briefly, but didn't wake up.

Michael sat down about 50 feet away from her.

Jackie jerked away, her nightmare of the bombs waking her. She brushed away tears that had formed.

Michael was turned away from her, so he didn't notice her wake up.

Jackie lay down in the grass, looking up at the stars.
