No, you put a flashlight under the egg, at the fat end of the egg. And you’ll be able to see inside of it. Then you can take pictures and upload them here. Be careful not to drop them though.

Done does this look normal

Unfortunately I've never incubated myself, but I'm under the impression that this is an accurate chart.

It can be hard to candle, takes some practice.
Best done in a very dark room, on with one windows.
Even hard to take good pics of candling.
I use this chart:

You need a brighter light.
Then we can tell, I think.
