I'm on day 14 incubating and last night my eggs were registering much warmer than the temp inside the water wiggler. It's a homemade incubator and the eggs are above the heat source and thermostat. A fan pulls air from egg level down onto the thermostat. I would think this would help it adjust to the eggs creating heat. I turned down the temp because the eggs in one area were reading 101-102. Should I have left the temp high or is it better to turn down? I don't want them chilled, shell temps are now back to 99-100.5.

I should add - the water wiggler temp is a full degree lower than it's been the first 14 days now that I've turned down. Eggs are maintaining the normal (previous 14 day) temp.
