Have a friend's chicken setting on a mixed batch of eggs, 2 turkeys we gave her a week ahead of 4 chicken eggs. My friend candled for me today (day 15 for turkeys, day 10 for chickens) Three of the 4 chicken eggs show obvious movement and growth, one likely a dud showed nothing. The Turkey eggs show an air sac and dark, no veins, no movement but hard to see. These are probably bad? She left them for now but might pull them next week. They all are due around 8/2.

Sometimes when you shine the light if you tap a fingernail on the eggshell you will see some movement. You should be able to see good veins in the middle of incubation like that though. I believe turkey and duck eggs both incubate for 28 days so the development should be similar to the duck egg candling chart...

That's what we were thinking, duck charts. We're thinking her light might not be bright enough. Would a bad egg be dark? Or just not developed?
