Ok, I figure out part of the problem. Tested my thermometer against some oral medical ones in the water wiggler. Mine reads 99.1 the medical (2 different ones) measured 99.8 Which still would have only been 100.4 worst case so that's still not bad right?

Nope, that's not a critical overheat problem at all.

Vents don't matter as long as the temps are correct right? I think I just got bad eggs. I'm very confident that the bator worked well. I'll look into these cuckoo marans and see what I come up with. It's been a learning experience anyway.
