Day 16: Adventures in Power Failure

Chickapooh23:

I've been wondering about that, the eggs possibly taking longer to hatch now.

What did you do when your power was out? Did you cover the bator with blankets or anything? How low did your temp get?

Several rockers this morning and one of the arucauna eggs PIPPED!!!!

And now I have to go to work.....UUUGGGHHHHH!!!!!! How will I survive the next 9 hours??!!!

I was so nervous when that storm came through Charlotte! I was praying the power would stay on.....it did, but the limbs were sure hanging low everywhere!

How incredibly exciting - thanks for sharing with us - hope you are able to get up some pictures of your new babies soon!

What a good mother hen you are!

A great story; determination and a never give-up attitude on your part and it just shows what resiliency eggs 7 chicks can have; you just never know.
