I had to assist a couple of my quails in my most recent hatch because they were malpositioned. They didn't even make their internal pips. Luckily they both made it out okay and are all grown up now.

is my quail a female or a rooster there are some rusty brown feathers and a speckles too anyone can help me out???

How old are they? They look like they're still a little young to tell for certain. They all have spots on their chests, but the third one looks like it's losing some of them. You'll have a pretty good idea at 3-4 weeks old.
he/she is the one this thread is all about...i hatched her alone and the pictures are all one chick..she's now 2 and a half weeks old
