Day 18 - is this egg dead?

i am incubating 7 eggs with the brinsea mini advance bator and today I put them in lockdown as it is day 18. I candles them all and 6 of the 7 look perfect but I have one isa brown egg that I was incubating and when I candled it all I can see is the tiniest little embryo in there, the air cell, and a bunch of air bubbles. I think it is dead but I would also feel horrible pitching away an egg that could possibly be alive even though the chances are practically zero. Here’s a picture:

Should I discard the egg? Is it dead?

I would discard that one.

Looks like either a blank or an early dead... but definitely not going to hatch in a few days.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking. All of the others all you can see is the air cell bc they’re taking up so much of the egg. Maybe this one didn’t work out bc it’s isa brown which is a hybrid in the first place?

That shouldn't matter... just things happen. Sometimes they don't develop, like if it had a meat spot in it. Or maybe the rooster didn't like her. Or there could have been bacteria. Poor nutrition, or so many possibilities. Yes genetics is one of those possibilities, but I wouldn't assume it.

If you wanna now if it was a blank or a quitter... just crack it open. It shouldn't be stinky or gross yet. But you can do it inside a sandwich bag of you are worried.

At day 18, I feed back any non starters or early (not late) quitters to my animals.

Just cracked it open and this is what I saw:

Kinda gross!! Anybody have any idea why this may have happened? Is it because isa brown is already a hybrid in the first place?

Okay yeah I just cracked it open and posted a picture too, i think it was a quitter probably around day 7, oh well I guess it just happens. At least I have six other healthy eggs

I have one that looks just like that one. Today I’m on day 18. I’m so afraid to take it out and by some miracle is going to be ok. But I know it’s not. I’ll take it out today. Thanks for the picture
