Day 18 is tomorrow!!

Things are going well here too, although the humidity is now a little too high, sitting between 75 and 78. I have to figure out a way to get some of the water out without opening the bator, or I could cheat tonight and sneak some of it out and candle an egg at the same time, it is only day 18 and I thought you could still candle on that day

My two oldest kids (12 and 9) decided they wanted to stay home and watch the chicks hatch instead of going to their other dad's for the weekend, so it's going to be a long weekend around here to, that's for sure!

Looking forward to seeing everyone's hatching reports this weekend!

I feel less guilty now. I was thinking earlier I might just once more tonight.....since people do on the 18th day!!!! Let us know how yours look when you candle!!!

Yes, long weekend for sure!!!!!!

I beat you both to it.

I candled around noon or so. But it made me even more nervous. Maybe I can sneak one more peek after the boys hit the sack in a few minutes here.

I am on day 18 today as well. I turned them this morning and found stuff to do the rest of the day. I want so badly to go in and waste my weekend watching for something. Thank the good lord for 3rd shift and having to work all weekend.

I'm using the egg carton method. I turned it 180 degrees, so I can see more of the eggs. Hopefully by Sunday I see a pip. At least one or I'll be pretty upset. Ugh.

Oh my!!! Looks like we have lots of hatch company!! I am hoping we all have wonderful results. I can't quit looking in my incubator for a sign of SOMETHING!!!!!

Egg carton here, too.

Mine's in my darn basement because it's so big. So I'm running down 2 flights of stairs to look at the bator every few hours.

This waiting game suckkkkkksssss.

I decided to make a final decision for my babies before leaving them alone for the duration. I have removed the egg cartons. Hope it was the right choice. I decided it seems more natural for them to be on their side to hatch and I can also see them much better to know what is happening. I have used the cartons to hand turn them the entire time. So I pulled them out, made sure the water was full, and closed it up for the last time. Then I just sat there looking through the windows. And OMG!!!!!!! One of my EE eggs moved!!! It was just a little but it wiggled. Now I just wanna sit there until they hatch......even if it is Monday. I am so nervous!!! Hope everyone else is surviving the waiting.

I candled my eggs and found of them moving around, so that is a good sign. I don't know if my eyes were playing tricks on me, but I swear I saw and egg do a wiggle too, and one of the eggs I candled, I saw two feet, hopefully the chick won't be breech. My hubby and I spent tonight making our homeade brooder, not the prettiest, but it's going to work.
I'm still having a problem with the humidity, there is very little water in it and it's still reading 80

I don't know what else to do about it.
I really should be trying to get some sleep, but it's so hard~ this is way too exciting!

Mama, my humidity is high too. There's nothing I can do about it. I checked the chicks this morning, no pips or cheeping... I'll check again in a few minutes.

and WTG on the movement guys! That's a great sign!
