I think it is awesome that you took this project on!I started off with 12 eggs. This is actually a science project that I chose, I’m supposed to design my own incubator and hatch store-bought eggs. (Trader Joe’s fertile white leghorn eggs) I was really concerned with the whole process and decided to candle them every day to track their progress. This alone brought the number down to six eggs. Another egg had started to smell on day 19 so I took that one out as well. Right now I’m left with 5 eggs.
If I have my facts right:
This is your first time ever incubating eggs.
You had to design and build your own incubator, without any previous experience.
You are hatching store bought eggs which have been handled by many people before you got them.
You found a wonderful source for information, guidance, and help - BYC!
You said you are a curious teen, and you are clearly very excited and involved with this project.
I think you have done a great job! However, you now have an addiction with many enablers to encourage you, lol. Welcome to the club!!
(Also, if I remember correctly, you have at least 2 other earlier threads that I have seen, correct?)
