Ok thanks!! I do think the late hatch has something to do with the temp, my lowest was 95 so...I looked back quickly through the thread but I didn't see any info on what kind of incubator you ended up using and if it was a still air. Temp needs to be up at 102degs for still air and 99.5 for forced air so as your cells are smaller than ideal and the eggs are a little late to hatch, your temp might have been too low as well as the humidity being too high. Sorry if you know this stuff already and I missed the info in the thread!
The float test is not really a super way to go unless you are at the very far end of the incubation process with eggs that are 3-4 days late and using this technique as a LAST resort. If you have the possibility of an external pip, you can drown the chick. But, seeing as how you did the test already and found the eggs to be viable and alive, now you just have to wait. You may find that the chicks start to pip in a different location than the air cell as they may not be able to turn correctly if they have grown too large in the egg. This is also another issue that happens when the humidity is too high during incubation.
If they do pip on the wrong end of the egg, don't panic. These chicks usually take significantly longer to zip than if they pip in the normal way. Keep posting please!
Ahaha *awkward silence*... I know I probably shouldn’t have conducted the float test, but many people told me that it only works 24 hours after the due date. I was worried so I just went ahead and did it.*cough*I probably shouldn’t have done it though...You did what?

I think your humidity has been too high the entire time which might be one of the problems. Also, my temp right now is at 102 and my humidity is at 60%.![]()
Should I bring down my humidity? I wasn’t sure since I was going into “lockdown”I think your humidity has been too high the entire time which might be one of the problems.
If your temps were near 95, that is too low and that is another problem.
All you can do is wait and hope they make it.![]()
I don't think it will make a difference at this point.Should I bring down my humidity? I wasn’t sure since I was going into “lockdown”
Ok! The first two eggs seem to be doing ok...I can see movement. The third one’s air sac is pretty messed up, I’m not so sure.I don't think it will make a difference at this point.
Just don't raise it anymore.
