Today is day 18 for me at noon my time. So you took yours from standing up to laying flat? I'm so torn as to what to do. Take them out of the rails and lay flat or put them in cartons and keep them upright for hatching?

I had them standing up and on day 18 I removed the egg turner and laid them flat in the bottom of the incubator. This was advice I received from another BYC member. Appears to be good advice. Exciting day! Thanks all!

Hi jenifern! I would take them out of the rails. I would lay them flat in the bottom of the incubator. I would say more people do it this way. They do leave them in cartons. Like a lot of things, it comes down to personal preferences.

I decided to lay them in the bottom because of advice from BYC and because I thought about their natural birth occurring in this manner.
