Day 18 today i start the long hawl

i take my eggs out of the turner and wait and hope and wait

Me too.... Friday is my day 18. I do not know how to "candle" I am afraid to pick up the eggs. I will hope for the best. I did try to candle with a large bulb and lamp. But the eggs are all too dark.

I am hatching 23 mutts first time. ( my son broke my pink egg!) he said it looked like a scrambled egg, but did not have a chicken. The egg was one day fertile. He is only 5. Good luck to you and wish me luck.

is it best to leave them in the turner or should i put them on the wire mesh thats on the bottom of the turner

I removed my turner yesterday and put my six eggs in cartons. Checked for movement one last time, all are well. So now i wait for wednesday afternoon to thursday after noon to hatch them. I really hope that showgirl chicks are cute.
