hi im a new one to site. im on day 18 waiting for my new babies, my hen is still sitting well.

Welcome to BYC. Warning! This forum is addicting. I've never been on a forum before and am truly an addict here.

Chicks have a mind of their own when it comes to hatching. (I am also a hatchaholic thanks to these guys.) I had 6 EE eggs in the incubator - 2 hatched day 20, 3 hatched day 21, and 1 hatched this am day 22. go figure. I'm waiting on 4 mystery eggs now day 20. Who knows when they'll show up.

sorry just one thing
could i be doing anything to help mum to be more comfortable.
she has fresh water & fodd everyday should i be put more bedding in with her.

Welcome to BYC and good luck with your hatch. I am sure someone will come on with specifics about broody hen hatching. I have no experience. Have you tried doing a search.

Sorry, no broody hen here yet (no eggs yet either). We have only used an incubator.
