Well, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of progress. I can see the one that pipped first, moving inside the egg, but it has only removed about a lima bean sized bit of the shell. The other two don't look much different than they did late last night. One has a pin sized hole through the shell and the other only an bulging with a crack in it.

None of the other eggs are showing any signs of anything.

It can take 24 hours or more from pip to hatch or they can zip along right beofre you eyes and hatch in a matter of minutes. This is the hard part! Congrats on your pips!

The way we do it again and again is for that exact reason..lol I have hatched so many darn chicks over this winter to this spring that I cant wait to turn off the bators..

I have 1 bator running now with turkey and guinea eggs in it and I will have to warm up 1 more for the button eggs that I have coming but when those hatch I am done for the year. I truely never thought I would say that but I am tired of having bators running and brooders running.

Talk about a high electric bill..lol I know just how you feel right now and am glad I have gotten over the gitters. As long as the humidity is 60 or greater they will be fine. The best thing I can tell you is go to town and go shopping or go out side and do not go to the bator every 2 minutes. It never fails and you finally think something has to be wrong and open the bator. THAT is when you mess it up for every one else in there. If I am going to take chicks out I will always wait until everyone hatches and there are absolutely no pipps on the other eggs. Good luck and cant wait to see peep pics. Jenn
