I LOVE LOVE LOVE puffy cheeked babies! You should get olive eggs out of that cross, hopefully...? I wonder what the birds will look like, though. EEs can be so pretty, and with the gorgeous Marans you've crossed with, I bet you'll have beauties. I hope your other chickie makes it out okay.

FINALLY, eveyone who is coming out is out. The last of the two delayed marans came out (with a bit of help) yesterday afternoon. Total count is 15 chicks, 100% hatch on the EE x and RIR x and 80% on the marans. After 3 days of hatching I am ready for a rest. Of course, that incubator is so nasty it will take a bit of work to get it clean again!
