Day 19! Anyone else?

Hi

I'm on day 19 as well and its so exciting waiting for my first hatching of Pekin Bantams I can't wait to see their little beaks popping through. I have 2 Khaki Campbell ducklings at a day old these are all I managed to retrieve from the nasty fox that slaughtered all 37 of my hens in one go!!!! They won't be able to get in now as I have taken major steps of prevention. It was a bitter pill to swallow having just lost 8 of my ewes killed by a dog with another 13 badly injured and needing ongoing veterinary treatment I still havn't found out who the dog belonged to within the village. We hit the BBC news and hoped that someone would come forward and admit that it was their dog that slaughtered my sheep. Each and every one of them was a friend fed by hand and also enjoyed a hug in the meadows. So very sad, I have to rebuild 3 years of breeding and with our great british weather all last summer and the dreadful wet cold weather we've had all through winter has affected the grazing badly but hey it's a case of not being beaten.

Regards to all

Pekinmaria
