Day 19, I can’t contain myself 😂

Cute!!! 🥰 how many eggs do you have?
Had 6 but 1 didn’t develop, candled before lockdown and all 5 were moving nicely… just waiting on the last two now but I can’t see if one has made a pip as it’s against the wall. The other has knocked some shell off and I can see the membrane moving when it moves but nothing else as yet and it’s been about 13(?) hours…

4th!

Looks like the 5th egg has no pips at all. How long do I leave it before I candle it, if I should?

I would go ahead and candle it and take out the chicks that hatched first and put them in the brooder. (You can also grab some of the eggshells out to make some room in there.) When you candle the egg, look for signs that it has internally pipped. If not, then it may not hatch but put it back in and be prepared to help in the morning if needed. If it has internally pipped, put it back and hope it will hatch overnight!

Thanks. I’ve moved the dry two, will leave the other two in there until they’re dry.

Day 19 of 5 bantam eggs in the incubator, just got home from work and 1 has pipped, I swear I heard a tiny cheep and I can’t contain my excitement!!!

How long is this going to take roughly/generally?! How long before the others go?!
it always takes 6 hours longer than you think it should. patience
