day 19.. miracle eggs

i had bought a bunch of eggs from a friend in march, well i over did it so 18 didnt get set till they were 3 weeks old. i have 8 in lock down!! YAY im so glad i didnt toss them! lol that puts the eggs at 6 weeks old! they are a miracle! i have seen 2 rocking, but when i candled onf day 17 i am willing to bet that they wont hatch for anther few days!

anyone else have some old eggs hatch?

Congrats! And yes I have. I regularly put in eggs that are 3 weeks old with no real bad effects. Sometimes I will pull out a clear but I'd say most of them hatch. I'm putting in some eggs this weekend that are between 1-3 weeks old. I'm also testing out two eggs that are at least 5 weeks old. I'll let you know the results. So far I have learned from my "tests" that frozen eggs do not hatch but cold eggs do.

In my last hatch I put in 3 Ameraucana eggs that had been sitting on my kitchen counter in a basket (unturned) for 2 weeks. They all hatched!

Hm. Well I had an egg hatch (or attemp it) on day 25-26.

He didn't make it, though..
