Day 19-my egg cheeped-now hatched!

oh my gracious!!! I just took the eggs out of their turning rack and set them to hatch. Its day 19. One of my eggs cheeped at me! I can't believe it! My heart is going crazy. It peeped again and then it made a crack in the shell.

Thankfully its right under the 'bator window, so I can stare at it!

11 eggs set, from a flock that only tested 2/3 fertility. First incubation for me. I hope i get 2 or 3 so they can keep each other company.

That's so cool! I'm reliving my hatches right now. I love when they start to cheep inside the egg-it's amazingly LOUD.

2nd one is has pipped externally now.

3rd one pipped this evening. Then proceeded to zip right around and hatch in the last 1/2 hour! Suggests my thermometer was a bit off, since it's still day 19.

ohh, just looked at the time. I guess its officially day 20 now.

just grabbing my camera before returning to the basement.
