So pulled the Turner last night day 18. of the 55 incubating 4 are shot. 2 more doubtful. 3 questionable 46 look good. 4 have pip today. 1 is going full on get me out of here and has a good size hole in the egg. We just past day 19 point 10 minutes ago

Sounds like you're going to have a lot of fuzzie butts running around pretty soon! Hopefully you'll post a picture of them when they're all dry and fluffy!

I incubate silkie eggs, and sometimes they start early too, so I've just got in the habit of doing a five-day lockdown. That way no chances on shrink wrapping any. You're are just anxious it sounds like.

Good to know. But how long can a chick survive in the incubator without food and water? I've heard up to 48 hours. 1st one born at 4:30 this am. 2 more not far behind. 8 more pips already including 1 that was questionable. I'm just worried that they will be hatching into Saturday which will be over 72 hours on the first guy
